This webinar will analyze the behavior of the financial system in partially dollarized economies and its short-term performance outlook. Specifically:
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo, along with master’s degrees in Economic Policies (University of Illinois, USA), Finance and Financial Legislation (University of London, UK), and Applied Economics (Universidad Católica Santo Domingo). He has completed various specializations in macroprudential policies, financial econometrics, financial inclusion, and financial risks.
Currently, he serves as the Director of the Regulation and Financial Stability Department at the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic, where he has built a 15-year professional career.
Victoria Landaberry is the Head of the Financial Stability Department at the Central Bank of Uruguay, a position she assumed after serving as an analyst in the same department. She has 15 years of experience in the financial system, including her work at the Banco República Oriental del Uruguay.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in International Economics, both from the Universidad de la República. Additionally, she earned a Professional Master’s degree in Data Science from the Universidad Tecnológica del Uruguay and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Data Science at Universidad Loyola de Andalucía. Alongside her professional career, she serves as a lecturer and academic coordinator for the Diploma in Data Science program at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the Universidad de la República.
He has worked at FLAR since 2004, where he has also served as Director of Research and Development, Deputy Director of Economic Studies, International Economist, and Junior Economist.
He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Universidad del Rosario, a Master’s in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from Universidad de los Andes and the University of Maryland, a Master’s in Economics from Universidad de los Andes, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Universidad de Antioquia. He has also taught at the latter two universities.
She is the Deputy Director of Economic Studies at FLAR. Previously, she held the position of Economic Director at the Association of Banks of Ecuador and served as Director of Macroeconomic Analysis and National Director of Autonomous Governments at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Ecuador.
She is an Economist from Universidad Católica del Ecuador, holds a Master’s in Public Administration in Economics and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a Master’s in Finance and Risks from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar.
