This webinar will explore the current state of the financial system in Latin American countries and provide insights into its short-term performance outlook. Specifically, we will focus on:
He currently holds the position of Financial Stability Manager at the Central Bank of Chile. Previously, he served in the same institution as International Analysis Manager, Macroeconomic Analysis Manager, Head of the Economic Analysis Department, and Senior Economist in the Economic Research Management.
He has been a university professor and has published in academic journals. He holds a degree in Business Engineering with a focus on Economics, a Master’s in Applied Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California-Berkeley.
Since 2022, he has served as the Director of the Financial Stability Department at the Central Bank of Colombia. Previously, he worked in the same institution as the head of the market analysis and exchange regulation area and as a specialized expert in the Financial Stability Department.
He is an Industrial Engineer and Economist from Universidad de los Andes. He has a Master’s in Financial Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Master’s in Economics from Universidad de los Andes.
He is the current Director of Financial Stability at the Central Bank of Mexico. He has represented the Central Bank of Mexico in various working groups of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision and the Financial Stability Board on issues related to policy design, liquidity risk management, emergency liquidity provision, and bank crisis management, among others.
He is an Economist from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, holds a Master’s in Economics from the University of Rochester, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the same university. He has also been a university professor.
He has been the Deputy Manager of Operations and Financial Stability at the Central Reserve Bank of Peru since September 2018. He has been the Head of the Financial System Analysis Department, Senior Specialist in the Capital Markets and Financial Regulation Analysis Department, and a Specialist in the Financial System Analysis Department of the same institution.
He is an Economic Engineer from the National University of Engineering and holds a Master’s in Economics and Finance from Pompeu Fabra University.
He has worked at FLAR since 2004, where he has also served as Director of Research and Development, Deputy Director of Economic Studies, International Economist, and Junior Economist.
He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Universidad del Rosario, a Master’s in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from Universidad de los Andes and the University of Maryland, a Master’s in Economics from Universidad de los Andes, and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Universidad de Antioquia. He has also taught at the latter two universities.
She is the Deputy Director of Economic Studies at FLAR. Previously, she held the position of Economic Director at the Association of Banks of Ecuador and served as Director of Macroeconomic Analysis and National Director of Autonomous Governments at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Ecuador.
She is an Economist from Universidad Católica del Ecuador, holds a Master’s in Public Administration in Economics and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a Master’s in Finance and Risks from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar.
