Francesco Bianchi

Professor of Economics, Johns Hopkins University
Francesco Bianchi is Professor of Economics and Department Chair at Johns Hopkins University. He is co-editor of the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics and Associate Editor of the Quarterly Journal of Economics. He earned his Ph.D. from Princeton University and has held academic positions at Duke University, UCLA, NYU, and Columbia University. His research focuses on macroeconomics, monetary and fiscal policy, asset prices, and the use of machine learning to improve economic forecasting.

Pablo Guidotti

Professor at Universidad Torcuato di Tella – Former Deputy Minister of Finance of Argentina
He is the Dean of the School of Government and Professor of Economics at Torcuato Di Tella University. He also serves as an external advisor for Banco Galicia and Moore Capital Strategy Group, and was previously an external advisor for the World Bank. Additionally, he is a member of the Latin American Committee on Financial Affairs. He served on the Board of Directors of Caja de Valores, S.A. Previously, Dr. Guidotti was the Deputy Minister of Economy and Secretary of Finance of Argentina. He also co-chaired the G-22 Working Group on Strengthening the Financial System and held various positions at the Central Bank of Argentina (B.C.R.A.), including 2nd Vice President, Director, and Advisor to the President. Dr. Guidotti has also been a member of the Executive Committee of the Bank Capitalization Fund.

Andrea Villarreal

Deputy Chief Economist, FLAR

She is the Deputy Chief Economist at FLAR. Previously, she held the position of Economic Director at the Association of Banks of Ecuador and served as Director of Macroeconomic Analysis and National Director of Autonomous Governments at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Ecuador.

She is an Economist from Universidad Católica del Ecuador, holds a Master’s in Public Administration in Economics and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a Master’s in Finance and Risks from Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar.
