Latin America and the Caribbean are undergoing an unprecedented transformation in the way people pay and connect financially. In this context, the III Regional Instant Payments Forum will serve as a key space for dialogue, sharing progress, and collaboratively shaping the future of payments in the region.
The event will take place on May 29–30 in Montevideo, Uruguay, with the support of the Central Bank of Uruguay as host. It will feature the participation of institutions such as the IMF, the Bank for International Settlements, and other global and regional stakeholders.
Over the course of two days, topics such as financial inclusion, interoperability, cybersecurity, and cross-border payments will be discussed. In addition, updates will be presented on the regional document on instant payments, currently being developed collaboratively with the FLAR member central banks.
Montevideo will be the meeting point to continue driving a more integrated, digital, and connected Latin America.
